A key figure in the federal structure of our country, the Governor holds a unique position in the sense that he acts as a vital link between the Centre and the State. He performs a number of duties the Constitution has conferred on him. As important legislative and executive steps are taken in his name, he keeps himself fully informed of everything which is being done in his name.
